As I am sitting here relaxing in the kitchen, my oldest daughter complains about her arm hurting while she stirs the sugar water in preparation for the cranberries that will soon be popping and bubbling their sweet goodness together. Thanksgiving day is one where we are reminded to take a moment and recognize all of the blessings in our lives. I for one, have quite a few that I would love to share here…. meanwhile, my daughter just pawned her stirring job on my husband….ha ha ha! I am grateful for both of them, who have truly been a blessing in my life, as are the two younger siblings that are yelling and jumping and having fun in the living room while the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is mostly ignored on the television. (The cranberries are currently popping, that is a good sign.)
I am blessed that this year has been full of fun and adventure with my family, celebrating new marriages, taking camping road trips across country, and super blessed that I have reconnected with old friends through the excuse of our 20 year high school reunion. Oh! I very recently had a new adventure, where I chaired a national conference with my professional organization, and hosted 1200+ people in Albuquerque for the annual conference of the American Art Therapy Association it was pretty exciting, and I get to chair it next year too!
Finally, I am blessed that I have the time and energy to do what I enjoy in life, and launching this website has been a great test of my patience, but also an exciting endeavor where I can share my secret world of art making with you all! I’m sure it will continue to change a bit here and there as I list more items, so, in exchange for your patience, I am planning several art giveaways as major milestones! When we hit 100 subscribers to this blog, I will randomly select 1 random subscriber to win a print of their choice out of the print store. And as we keep growing, I will continue to add opportunities for prizes. In addition, I have specials running for commissioned art, so check out that form for pricing and inquiries, and I will even offer an 18×24 in commissioned art piece to a random follower when we reach 1000 subscribers! There is so much to be thankful for, and I am looking forward to sending blessings your way as we grow this site together! Lots of love, and share with your friends!
