How to Make a Portable Art Supply Stash!

Remember that post I made, where I outlined one way to make more art as a busy mom? Having a stash of art supplies at the ready is one way I find it easier to have no excuse to create something, or start a sketch of an idea, or to add color to my bullet journal. I’m not gonna lie, My work bag is somewhat large, but I feel so much more put together since I separate everything into cute pouches and can add and take away when I know what my day will look like. I just grab the small pouches that I know I will need for the day. Lipsense in one bag (totally not an affiliate link, but if you need a lipsense dealer, let me know, I’ll hook you up with my girl), my wallet in another, my bujo, and my art/pen bag. Then I add my cell phone, and either my iPad or my computer depending on what work I need to complete for the day.

So, for Christmas, my dear friend Deb got me a super cute new supply pouch, which is perfect because my other one was starting to look a bit raggedy. And this one is a bit bigger.

Which, is pretty awesome, since I found some new supplies that I need to start carrying around. Want to see what I found???

I happened upon these at the gift shop of the Crow Collection of Asian Art in Dallas. You can see all about the current exhibition (at the time of this post) right here. But, I got sidetracked at the gift shop, and found some really great finds. Of course, these are from the Japanese stationary section. Aren’t they adorable?

A pencil, with a lot of different, interchangeable colors. They have the consistency of prismacolors.

Colored pencils, with a tiny sharpener! These have a much harder lead than the other colors.

A multicolored pen! Remember these from your childhood? It’s perfect for bullet journaling if you color code everything like I do!

To this, I added my tiny, foldable scissors, that you can actually get in the dollar section of your local department store in the sewing kits!

….My miniature watercolor set, (I have no idea where this came from. It was a gift).

…..A glue stick would be a great addition too! Washi Tape? A tube of glitter glue? Markers? Highlighters?

what else can you think to add?
