We made it to our next location, Refroe, Kentucky, with my mom and Step Dad for a few days. There is so much greenery around here, and lots of fireflies. We made the kids come home from the park at dusk so that we could go to the field and try to catch them. Where we live in Texas, we rarely see fireflies. I saw them one time in Texas, at a concert in the Waco area, near a water source. Never at our home, and we live next to a lake. The kids enjoyed it, and it was fun to see the bats flying in the sky above our heads catching all of the mosquitoes. Lots of beautiful scenery here, and I took some pictures, but I decided that I wanted to keep working on the Mississippi River from yesterday. I painted for a few hours this morning. And then we ate. And then went swimming. Now we are hanging out at the campsite, and the kids are playing at the park where we can see them from here. Sounds like a vacation to me!
‘Coming along. Might have to paint some more before dinner….
